Dom Posted December 14, 2007 Share Posted December 14, 2007 Many people misunderstand the hookah and that there's nothing illegal about it or anything having to do with it. I'm in the Navy and my superiors ask me why i'm on a hookah website and if i'm doing anything that would get me kicked out. just giving me shit for the most part, but in the military, appearance is everything. if it appears to be illegal, then they consider it to be so. in fact, any water pipe, including a hookah, is considered drug paraphernalia to the Navy. that's why if my ship goes over to the gulf and i buy a hookah there, i have to get it mailed home. i can't bring it on the ship. i'm sure that roumers will take care of me and before you know it, i'll have a piss test every week. oh well. i try to educate everyone i can. my supervisors can choose to over look it, or they can be jerks and take disciplinary action. does anyone else know where i'm comming from? or is the Navy all by itself on this one? Canon Posted December 14, 2007 Share Posted December 14, 2007 its the opposite in the air force, alot of people in my dorm will smoke with me. ive told my old first shirt about the hookah and he doesnt have a problem with it, no one has really linked the hookah with illegal stuff. they know its not for that. one guy bought his hookah while deployed and brought it back with him. thecoalition Posted December 14, 2007 Share Posted December 14, 2007 my gf's dad just recently retired from the navy and he brought her a hookah back from the middle east. maybe they didn't give a shit because he was in the top ranks (i think just below admiral but he might have been higher not real sure he doesnt talk about his work much but i know he ordered a shit ton of people around on the ships to load bombs on planes and he is fuckin diesel and beats the shit out of his people when they fuck up)but yea he brought his back on the boat with no problems. they even offered to wrap it for him lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
