Allen Davis posted a topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah LoversSo, I bought an antique hookah at a yard sale about 6 months ago. I paid 75 bucks for it..It's a Syrian hookah, a hand-painted green base with a Qajar portrait on it. The hookah stands about 30" tall, the stem is bi-metal (copper and brass) with a wide ash-catcher and has an intricately beaded hose. I love it, and am not really looking to part with it, but I'm looking for a rough value for insurance purposes...can anyone help me out with this? Many thanks in advance! Here's a link to the hookah. And here are some pictures of the actual hookah I'm selling: I bought this for around $120 plus shipping about one year ago. I just don't get that much use out of it any more. It show's some signs of wear, but is fully functional and still smokes like a Khalil Mamoon (awesome). There is some corrosion (I think?) on the downstem, a missing colorful thread that wrapped around the handle of the hose, and some spots on the bottom of the base. I'll give it a full cleaning before I ship it, but shipping is payed by the buyer. I've been out of the hookah scene too long, so I'm not really sure what a fair price is for this. Make me an offer I guess. EDIT: Price: $75 plus shipping from 55454. I can also throw in a vortex bowl depending on what the selling price is. Can also make an offer.
