  1. QUOTE (mattarios2 @ Jul 25 2008, 02:38 PM) topic title says it all. Thanks guys I don't like using anything other than water or alcohol. Brass is typically a mixture of zinc and copper. Acids can displace zinc metal, corroding them. Considering Vinegar contains acetic acid, with a pH of 2.4. I wouldn't take the risk of damaging my hookah. Use alcohol instead.

    Not Enough Hookah Lately :o(

QUOTE (Snoopy1966 @ Jul 25 2008, 12:29 PM) what are primetimes and backwoods?? Are those the cigars that are in a pouch?? I do not smoke in my new vehicle at all!!! I accidently wrote "car" instead of "bar" fixed it though Anyways, I have no idea what primetimes are, but backwoods are those cheap cigars that come in a foil pouch and are flavored. My recommendation, stick with cigarettes over cheap cigars.

    Not Enough Hookah Lately :o(

QUOTE (Snoopy1966 @ Jul 25 2008, 12:13 PM) So I have been on the road a lot, playing lots of gigs during the week also. To hard to bring a Hookah to open jams and other places where we play for a couple hours. I have been smoking black cloves and yesterday I lost my voice, and today it is even worse. I gotta sing tonight too Does smoking cloves do this to anyones else? Maybe I am smoking to many of them in a night, or maybe all the cig smoke in the clubs and bars?? I love my Hookah and I need some sort of nicotine fix while I am out. Any other ideas out there to help out? This weekend will be tough because we play in town here tonight and then in the UP of Mich tomorrow. I will bring my Hookah, but I doubt I will be able to smoke it. At least we play in town here tonight and I can come home and smoke my Hookah. I know what its like to need the fix, although Cloves are really heavy and hard on the lungs. Being in a smoking bar for that long is hard on the throat, but smoking cloves doesn't help. Try switching to a lighter cigarrette.

    Lunch With Narghile Nights

That bowl is MASSIVE. I don't think I could ever smoke one of those by myself or even with one other person. Maybe if I trained for years I could...

Because of Tax? Although don't you have to pay tax when you ship tobacco into another Country? no, i have had over 30 packages with hookah stuff shipped to me from all over the world and i`ve never had to pay any taxes. one time customs inspected a box but i still didn`t get taxed, they probably have no idea what it is. LOL....nice. I don't think you could import stuff to the US without customs finding. Those guys have their noses up everyone's ass. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

  9. QUOTE (AzZ @ Jul 24 2008, 02:46 PM) QUOTE (Johnny_D @ Jul 24 2008, 07:29 PM) a *WHOLE* $10 ? Shocking. How do you all cope? Haha $10? Try $33 dollars base shipping from HC, thats how much you'll pay even if you buy a 50g pack or even some tongs When I ordered my Tri metal shpping cost more than the hookah! Do Shipping Prices Effect Your Ordering? Hell yeah! Don't they have places in the UK to buy shisha/hookah supplies? I mean, I guess the places on this side of the pond are good, but just doesn't really make much sense to ship something from Egypt to California, then to england.

    Q About Homemade Shisha

QUOTE (Codename067 @ Jul 24 2008, 02:26 PM) Try washing a little, let it dry, mix it with glycerin, and pack it in a bowl. Then try not washing it, and just adding glycerin to it and see what happens. Trial and Error is y our best friend at this point. Where do you guys buy glycerine?

So I searched around and read about diffusers and what not. But I want to know for all of you diffuser users out there, past or present, what you think after using them a while 1) Is it worth it, either homemade or heba 2) Which one works best. Staws, Sprinkler filters, Heba, Wine Cork 3) How often does it need to be replaced, aka, does the plastic melt or pick up tastes I have a Hafa, so I'd imagine I could fit any of those in my vase fairly well. Thanks guys for the input
  12. QUOTE (speel @ Jul 24 2008, 01:20 PM) Quiet often I find my self wanting to buy a fairly small amount of hookah supplies, mainly tobacco, but then when I see the shipping charges 8 9 10$ I just give up my order and shop else where or not at all, does this happen to you guys? Keep in mind I usually shop like 2-3 times a month I usually do 1 big order, I hate doing small orders, it kills me to pay more for shipping than absolutely necessary

    Af Resealable Bag

I toss the bags. I don't like fumbling with it and spilling shisha juice all over the place. Too sticky and messy.

    Son Has A Hookah

QUOTE (glenh12 @ Jul 24 2008, 12:09 AM) QUOTE (IamWhee @ Jul 23 2008, 06:48 PM) So what did you end up doing? today i approached him about it and asked him if he wanted to smoke some hookah with me. we sat down and started smoking(this was the first time we have smoked together). next thing i know he says "dad, i have something to tell u" . and i knew what it was right away. he told me that he had bought his friends hookah off him for 50 bucks or so. he swore he used it only for tobacco and not NHT. i was glad i didn't have to ask him about it and he just came out and told me. as for the tobacco and coals, he bought them at the local head shop, he said they didn't id him or anything. i told him he can smoke his hookah as long as its in the house and no friends are over. and he says " finally, now i dont have to sit outside alone and smoke, the wind would always knock my coals off" hahah so he was smoking alone after all and not with any of his friends. im glad i asked him to smoke with me and now dont have to worry about anything else. I don't think that could have gone any bettr
  15. QUOTE (jezter6 @ Jul 24 2008, 09:46 AM) I am hoping all you Tangiers guys can give me some help here. I just got my tangiers, and I acclimated it for ~12-14 hours overnight on a piece of aluminum foil. Instead of the typical thin harsh smoke problems or overheat problems, I have something that I consider a 'new' issue. Flavor: Tangiers F-Line Orange Soda Setup: Mya Acrylic 26" Bowl: Small phunnel and mod bowl. Using 3 pieces of 1/2 a golden QL. Packed tight per the n00b packing thread. Packed fairly thick and over the rim. Pushed down lightly to have a small indent in the foil then restretched so it was flat. Issue: Fair smoke, not great, but not bad. Taste is fair, not great, but not bad either. I have just this mediocre 'blah' of a smoke. I'm not having the typical crap where I'm ruining bowls or hacking up lungs. I just am not getting the "OMG TANG IS TEH SEX!?!?!?!" out of it, that I know is hiding in there somewhere. Any ideas where to start the troubleshooting?? Did you poke holes all the way to the bottom? How big were your holes? I personally think the massive pencil sized ones are overkill, but pin ones are too small as well. Go for toothpick sized. Also, take out the mod, tends to complicate things.
