1. Hey Guys, it's been a while! Glad to see everyone going strong and still smoking. I've got my main business still going but I wanted to see what you all, my favorite forum, were wanting to see cheaper prices on. If we get enough votes and comments I'll set up a store with a special hookahforum discount code and you can get everything you want at much less than the normal prices. If there's no interest then no biggie, but I wanted to help everyone out without one of those ridiculous group buys we've seen before.
2. Life Insurance?

By the way, I'm a licensed agent it's part of the business I'm building, office, employees, all that jazz. So feel free to ask any questions about Life insurance rules.   Also companies have three different rates (depending on the company) 1) smoker: has smoked a ciggerate in the last 12 months 2) occassional-tobacco: smokes 13 or less cigars within the past 12 month period, this can also apply to chewing tobacco. 3) non smoker: doesn't use either, doesn't chew, and does not use nicotine products     On all my life insurance applications I've selected non-smoker, i've done the paramed (blood, urine, mouthswab) and it's never registered as a smoker in my experience.   By the way the mouthswab is how they detect nicotine/if you smoke. The blood analysis isn't used for nictoine generally.
3. Life Insurance?

This only applies to the first two years of the policy in most states. A select few use 3 years. But the general rule is after 2 years any lie on a life insurance policy becomes true. So it's the insurance companies job to make sure they catch everything up front.   As far as payout. Companies will do 1 of 2 things. 1) they'll deny the claim if the death occurs in the first two years or 2) they'll run the numbers at your current payment under a smoker and pay out an amount equal to what you would have applied for if you had selected smoker on your application, again only within the 2 year window.
4. What Do You Do?

I run a financial advisement business.
5. What Is Your Goal/dream?

Well well guys it's been a while since I've posted (have lurked some) but I might as well post here!   The reason I've been increasingly absent for the last few years is due to working on my dreams. I eat, breath, and sleep them, because that's the only way I can achieve them. Sure there are headaches along the way, but if it was easy everyone would do it and the rewards wouldn't be worth it.   Allow me to preface. I think dreams are great and goals are something everyone should have, because you can't get from A to B when you don't know what B is. I think you should be careful with the people you share them with. There will always be jealous people that will attempt to drag you down. Most will say "that's wonderful, good for you!" when you share your goal, but as you come closer to achieving it if that person hasn't achieved anything they will begin to criticize you and demean your goals, so just be careful.   The best advice I can give is: Don't take advice from anyone you're not willing to switch places with. Make a clearly defined goal and work your ass off towards it. If it's not one path it's another.   eg: I love it when people give me goal, business, or other advice when they themselves have been going in circles for 15-40 years. While I think valuable input can come from any direction, actionable advice normally does not.     My Goals: I've been running a business for the last few years in the financial sector, after working my ass off and growing it from just two of us my goal for 2013 is to bring on 600 new people in different aspects of the business and expoentially increase the profitability of the business. I want to read 70 books on business and self improvement this year, I've got a lot of catching up to do with my mentor. As far as my financial goals I'd rather not list them because it can come off as cocky or impossible to some people so I don't want to hinder anyone elses dreams by posting mine as a bar to reach.  I also have had a few inventions itching at my brain for the last few years, so as the business becomes self sustainable I am planning on patenting and licensing one of them to major retailers. (When that happens I'll give 20 people on here a free one!). Oh and I want to finish the first draft of my book.   - and in case anyone is wondering, no I was not born into an adventageous situation, I was not given anything I didn't work for, I've had to sacrifice relationships on my journey, and being broke happens when you're going for something BIG (so suck it up if the goal is worth it.)   To everyone else working on their goals no matter how small they may seem, it's all stepping stones. I encourage you to push on even when the going gets tough, it gets tough to stop everyone from reaching it, you just have to be willing to go through the valley to reach the mountain, then you have to make the climb to the summit. The view is great up top, so go for it.   If anyone has any questions about their own venture I'll be happy to pass along things I've learned or at least point you in the right direction as best I can. I don't know everything, so don't think I'm implying that.
6. Weird Symptoms

I'm no doctor and I'm sure someone else will have a better response than mine. I'd honestly attribute all of your symptoms to the nicotine. It acts sort of like caffeine so an overload may mean your body just can't handle the doses (or hasn't gotten used to them) It's my guess you respond strongly to caffeine and other products. If that's the case then you have your answer!
7. Occupy Wallstreet: Discuss
I personally find it disgusting that the people being protested against completely disregard the movement. It's almost like they think angry mobs outside their jobs and police beatings are comical and irrelevant. They couldn't care less about the state of the economy and the public's opinion, or the fact that there is violent suppression of civilians right on their doorstep.
To throw in my 2 cents I'd like to know 'why' you are disgusted. I mean no offense by my next statement but I'd like to get your point of view on it. In my opinion your mindset is very much that of the people senselessly protesting but they aren't sure what for. It's only a movement if you have a specific objective in mind. From your brief post I am to understand that these people going to their 9-5 jobs trading at the whim of their employers are supposed to care or be moved if someone wants to protest peacefully or not so peacefully outside of their place of work? If (I'm not sure where you work we're just assuming here) You worked at a chemical plant or a financial office, or taco bell. And there were mobs of protestors outside of your building protesting something (key word here) are you going to go join them and become unemployed, or are you going to look, laugh at how stupid some of them i'm sure look and then walk on in? Of course you are. Their plight is not your plight until it effects you or your mindset becomes similar to theirs. Simple as that. America will be over run by groups of people thinking they are doing something important and are mostly acting out of fear.

Do I exist because I believe I exist or because others believe I exist?
9. The Dangers Of Smoking Hookah!

All I have to say about throwing out the contents of your ashtray... Trash can fire.
Why I always dump mine in my sink and turn on the garbage disposal real quick. If you don't have a garbage disposal, I recommend using your toilet.
What would you recommend for those of us without toilets?
Get a toilet
10. Just a quick note guys, Woot.com has at one of their sites Lock&Lock containers (some of the best imo) for a great price if you're looking for a set. Just thought I'd fill everyone in. 14 total containers for $15 bucks and $5 shipping. Enjoy http://sellout.woot.com/sale/lock-and-lock-28-piece-storage-set?utm_source=Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=e48aeafdbb-Daily+Digest+-+20110820+-+Woot&utm_medium=email
11. Woot Has Lock & Locks

AGREED lol they aren't the size i recommend but knowing there was love for the lock & locks here i wanted to make sure everyone saw
12. The Itis

Well I never necessarily liked it lol. But a girl I dated who was in med school filled me in on why it happens so I thought I'd share. Apparently by eating a large amount and getting "stuffed" or more than satisfied, blood pools near the stomach which pulls it from other essential parts of the body, thus you get tired.
13. Business Card Help

For a jazz group I think it's a perfect fit. I'm not sure where you're planning on printing it all but you can try overnightprints.com so far they are my go to. I've had vista-print but overnights does better deals (coupons) and it's a much higher quality paper. Just a thought.
14. I got engaged! I never thought I would be so excited to say I'd be spending the rest of my life with one person, but I really am. I proposed today and it went off without a hitch. Just wanted to let my hookah family know
15. Well my first tip is: don't take it inside. If you want to smoke outside, go ahead. Taking it inside is an indirect admission that you have something to hide. I've had cops approach me before plenty of times smoking outside my college apartment. They ask what I'm smoking, I explain and usually have some beside me. I offer to take the foil off or let them smoke it to approve or disapprove. They usually just say thanks and have a good night. So if they ask you to take inside, politely ask why and explain that you prefer to smoke outside due to the chances of carpet burns and making your apartment smell. If they try to force you to take it inside,it shows they are just ignorant and on a power trip. In fact have a few print outs of how hookahs work and how they are used in modern times in a folder and give it to them next time and say "I'm sorry we had a misunderstanding, I hope it won't be a problem in the future."
16. Well Guys It Finally Happened.......
you gotta come by the Prince and we shall have a celebratory smoke. Congrats man.
Will def do Mush, she's the same girl that was with me when we visited your shop last year (if you happen to remember) PM me the address
I like it, man. Thats creative Congrats! I wish you both the best, hope I'm as confident with someone in the future as you seem to be now!
Thanks! And if it makes you feel any better I never thought I'd find anyone I wanted to be with, but out of no where I did, and you can too
17. Well Guys It Finally Happened.......

Hey guys sorry I haven't responded sooner, been visiting parents here and there to celebrate with them. Well here's how it went down and it took a little bit of planning (if I can pat myself on the back a little bit for it) but it wouldn't have been possible without the help of some awesome people. It started over a month ago when I put out an ad for guitar players since I can't play the guitar to save my life lol. I got in touch with some of them, got some demos, just to see how they were. I finally settled on a guy named Jimmy Dasher (awesome guy btw) to play a particular song for me. Question by Old97s. Link to Question She's a piano player and getting a degree in it, so she loves music, so I had to have that involved. I got a time and place picked out in Raleigh, NC around one park. And she wanted to get her nails done and things like that before we got engaged so I made sure she "won a contest" at one place and her mom took her out for something else. So Saturday Rolls around (when the world was going to end you know lol) and her parents created a back story saying they needed to be in Raleigh to talk business with someone near by the park and we could just wait there for them because there was a restaurant about a block away they wanted to go to. (Side note: we're close with her parents, hang out all the time, etc so it wasn't unusual) Then halfway there my guitar guy calls and tells me there is a festival going on in the park i picked out and the streets are blocked off. So without letting her in on it I asked him to look around, and had her parents get together with him, they transported him a few blocks away to the civil war park in Raleigh which is beautiful this time of year. Put him on a bench and hid (because I knew she wanted them there). So we park and walk over to meet them via the instructions her mom called and told us and said they'd only be a few more minutes. I saw the guitar guy and was like well while we're waiting might as well enjoy ourselves. After he finished his song he started talking to us telling us he was promoting his gig that night and wondered if we had time for at least one more song. So he started playing question, halfway through I got down on one knee and booooooom i proposed * her parents were hidden about 20 feet behind us and they came out, and a mob of people (not my doing lol) came by and all started congratulating her because they saw it. Then we went to our reservations I had set and there were flowers waiting at the table with a card telling her how happy i was that she was my fiance. - The End- ps: sorry about it being so long, I'm a detail person.
18. Money=Stolen
did she order anything online recently or use her card copy(or your gf) anywhere else recently... my parents had this happen to them over a year ago, turns out someone at a local restaurant stole their card number while they were checking out(one of those places that takes the money or card while you are seated finishing up) I doubt it was H-S...I'm pretty sure their checkout uses HTTPS and its a separate cart system that is automatic run through system...but there are a number of possibilities(like someone found a way to hack the system) But as was stated before, file with police and contact bank/loaner...should be able to track where that money was taken from and go from there...they got the girl that used my parents card(numbers)
I 2nd Rivet on this one. My girlfriends parents had theirs stolen at an applebees out of state one time. Even were able to pinpoint the person who did it later on.
19. Coal Carrier?

I've used a frying pan, an ash tray, and a chinese porcelain pot (used for cooking over fires) and i'll tell you this, even though I loved the pot, and it came with a lid too. since i bought my coal carrier I couldn't be happier. It's easy to get the air flowing over the coals a bit, easy to carry, no worry about anything getting too hot that doesn't need to be, and it compliments the hookah well. You're already spending money on the item you're carrying the coals in (if anything) and you're spending money on the shisha and coals you prefer might as well calculate that into their cost. Plus it's a more "needed" accessory for your luxury habit than something like a diffuser or ANOTHER bowl etc etc.
20. Charlie Sheen

While I agree that Sheen is enjoying his life and however he wants to is fine as long as it doesn't violate the rights of others (cite: constitution) However, I completely side with Warner Bros and CBS. They put him on leave and then he held out to demand $3million rather than the $2million per episode he was making. It's simple business to fire him. If he was acting normally and not degrading his image with crazy rantings then he'd have a better chance. That's like saying that you can work for a corporation, go out and do NHT and drink (his choice so no worries) let that impede your performance at work.....then demand a 50% raise or you quit.
21. Cheng Is Gone.

Just call Mushrat the ERASER!
22. Fake Km Or Not ?

Well I've got a few KMs myself and while I"m not an expert it looks legit except for the raised pattern on the tray holder. That's the only thing I noticed but more than likely that's just a new design they're using. Looks legit though. Def not chinese.
23. Every Night...

Well I used to smoke only with friends a few nights a week at most now I do it just about every day but it's normally only one small phunnel of tangiers for a few hours and i'm done. late at night to unwind and get some work done. I haven't noticed any negative physical effects as of yet working out, but once I do I'll cut it down.
24. Your CH instant lites are the BEST! That's not the news though lol. I just ran out of CH naturals (my brand new favorite, even getting rid of my exoticas soon in trades) Well I didn't want to order online just for coals so I traveled up to my favorite middle eastern supply shop and lo and behold what do I see but CH COALS! Not only that they were lower than what you can get them for online. Which is no surprise, this guy sells 250 of Starbuzz for $18 even now. So picked up 3 of the boxes he had (only 48 piece) got them home and was a little discouraged to see they were instant lights. (just not my normal go-to coal). But I decided what the hell lets light them up and see what happens. (*note* the coals were HALF the price of what is charged online!) lucky me I am now a firm believer, that CH instant light coals are the BEST instant light on the market today. I lit them up inside, just to see how they would do rather than go all the way outside. I put them in my coal carrier, lit the ends and watched the show. The initial smell reminded me of other instant lights and I was hoping it would dissipate soon. I let them sit for a minute, came back and the smell was GONE!!! They looked and behaved just like natural coals after that minute of instant light smoke and light show. I threw them ontop of a phunnel of tangier orange soda and there is NO aftertaste. The only reason I know they're instant lights is because they light up so much faster and have a smell for a minute (literally). I don't know how you did it, but I believe I am going to keep these in my back up stash from now on. Simply amazing John. Thank you from the hookah community for an instant light that works like it's supposed to. A++ in my book.
25. The Wisdom Thread

Here are a few of my favorite quotes for you guys hope you enjoy! "Because life is like a game of Monopoly. You may own hotels on Boardwalk or you may be renting on Baltic Avenue. But in the end, it all goes back in the box" - The Noticer "Likewise there is no difference in the person who INTENDS to do thins differently and the one who NEVER thinks about it in the first place. Have you considered how often we judge ourselves by our intentions while we judge others by their actions?" - The Noticer "When a king begins to act like a king, it is not long before someone else is king! Serving is a way we can place value on one another. A wise man is a server." - The travelers gift "it is true: an army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep!" - The travelers gift "first we make choices, then our choices make us" - The Travelers gift "Every Single time, these nations progessed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; form liberty to abundance; from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependance; and finally from dependance back to bondage" "Good thoughts and actions can NEVER bring about bad results"`
