1. Hello

This guy is a tool! Why would you allow someone like this to join? Total Butthead...actually sorry, this is me. I forgot what my user ID was. (the shame.....)
Hello, I am not a robot. I am a hookah smoker. I was on here a couple of years ago..but looks like I did not sign in for a long time and got booted. NP.
2. QUOTE (bungiman @ Jul 1 2009, 11:36 PM) QUOTE (Tempest72 @ Jul 12 2007, 10:46 PM) Anybody have any idea about the actual laws for a smoking establishment in Upstate New York? Smoking in regular bars is illegal. I have looked but cannot find the actual smoking law for the state. Thanks for any help. The laws are actually different than that. Smoking in bars can be permitted if more than 50% of there income comes from people who smoke. Something like that. Also hookah bars are legal. There is one in my small upstate community. Where are you upstate, and if you say Buffalo or Syracuse, God help me I will beat you senseless that is western NY. LOL. In my mind it is not actually upstate, but to someone from NYC it is. I am in Poughkeepsie...and I am too late. Before I could get a straight answer, someone opened a hookah bar in the same strip of stores I was originally planning on using. So yeah, they are legal here. Thanks for the help.
3. Hookah's In Movie

In world of warcraft, there is a quest to go find a guys hookah. Yeah, I'm a geek
4. QUOTE (Stuie @ Aug 5 2008, 12:44 PM) QUOTE (Tempest72 @ Aug 5 2008, 12:32 PM) I have a quick question. Do you think it will work with the Tangiers med funnel with the MNH Scallis Glass Phunnel Bowl Mod? If so, I know what I am ordering! Oh yeah It doesn't have to be a perfect seal for this screen to work. It can go over the edge or just inside the lip of the bowl. Doesn't matter. Mine will work on my small and medium phunnels plus my hemi bowls. Very cool. Thanks for the info.

QUOTE (voski @ Jul 15 2008, 08:23 PM) QUOTE (alecb @ Jul 15 2008, 02:12 PM) QUOTE (voski @ Jul 15 2008, 02:02 AM) QUOTE (alecb @ Jul 14 2008, 02:55 PM) I recently bought a metal bowl screen for the bowl i already owned, which is hookah-shisha.com's wide mod bowl. anyway, i found out that the metal screen is just too small for the bowl, and doesnt create a airtight enough seal... and the site only offers one size for the screen. i tried fooling around with extending the sides with foil, but does anyone have suggestions for how i can mod the screen to fit the bowl... and if not, does anyone know where i can order a screen big enough? The screen doesn't have to be airtight as long as it sits on the bowl it will be fine. If it doesn't rest on the outer edges of the bowl then you have a problem. When i sit the metal screen on the bowl, there is an gap between the screen to the bowl, around all of it. if it wasn't for the metal tabs, then the screen would just fall into the bowl. Thats fine. Did you try smoking with it? The only problem I see is that ash will fall into the tobacco. I use to use the screens that have the fingers on the edges. If you bend them down tight around the outside of the bowl it seems to help greatly. I was using them to pick the screen up with, but this was a happy accident. I since changed to foil. I like that better, and the screens rust.
7. Alzheimers

I just looked it up. The melting point of aluminum is 1220.58 °F. I do not think my coals get even close. My hookah would explode.
8. Alzheimers

QUOTE (Johnny_D @ Jul 17 2008, 08:29 AM) Smiley, to my current knowlede, is no longer in the game. JD I did not know that...but their site is still up. Thanks for the heads up!
9. Alzheimers

Aluminum is known to give you Alzheimer’s like problems. I am using some sort of ‘Hookah Foil.’ Do not really know the name…and don’t think I could read the package. But I have never gotten the foil hot enough to melt, or vaporize. Discolor a bit, yes, but it seems that I always have the same amount that I started with. If it was getting hot enough to get brittle, I would be more worried. Do not think that the foil is really a problem. You also do not hear about the ‘horrors of Alzheimer’s’ in countries that traditionally smoke hookah. I also think that the tobacco is a bigger baddie than the threat of aluminum poisoning. If you really are worried, go to http://www.smileysultimatehookah.com/ and buy the glass bowl and glass screen set up. I never tried them, but no metal would be involved. That would take the worry about the aluminum away.
10. Jack In The Box

QUOTE (AKammenzind @ Feb 6 2008, 08:05 AM) QUOTE (r1v3th3ad @ Feb 5 2008, 10:50 PM) Jack in the Box is still around after that shit that happened in the past??? jeeze...Chi Chi's went outta business from people gettin diarrhea off the peppers Hrms? I thought the Chi Chi's going out of business had more to do with people getting hepatitis from the onions? lol I must have been living in a cave...I didn't realize they went out of business.
11. Super Tuesday

QUOTE (gaia.plateau @ Feb 5 2008, 04:07 PM) Which... "man" are you talking about? it sounds like you think there is literally some monolithic Lex Luther-type character sitting in a doom fortress in the middle of Wyoming, controlling the economic fate of your nation. (In reality there are like 70-80 of these people, and they don't have doom fortresses). QUOTE (Tempest72 @ Feb 5 2008, 07:30 AM) So here it is, the hype has hit a peek, it is Super Tuesday. I feel like a beaten dog. I am writing this early in the day, so I have no idea how this day will end. The polls have not even opened in NY yet. I want to scream at the sky! I feel that no one in the nation is thinking about what this all means, but that is no new feeling. But I just found out that not only is George Soros supporting Hilary Clinton, but he is also supporting John McCain. I was thinking that if it comes down to those two, well at least I can vote to help defeat Clinton. (I am one that really does not like her, but that is just my feeling.) But if they are each in the same guy's pocket, we will get the same shit, even if we are against it. I hope by some miracle, that we can defeat someone sponsored by someone that is so evil. If we can get anyone that is not in that man's pocket I will be a happy man. If not, I feel that the USA that I know is doomed. I know that the USA is not perfect. I understand that we have great big problems. But I also feel that this is the greatest place to live. I would hate to see it go against the people. (More that it already is) I am looking for a 'new great hope' but I feel that there is not one left. So everyone go vote, and what ever the outcome, maybe we can try to reclaim what this country once stood for. Sorry, was typing at work and hoping no one would figure out what I was doing. I was talking about George Soros.

13. QUOTE (mushrat @ Aug 21 2007, 02:41 PM) Funny, I think you've been here before hookahbiz. I recall banning your account. I'll have to check. I've personally spoken with 3 people who have gotten your material and every one of them said it was a waste of money. One even had to do a chargeback on his cc i recall from earlier forum topics because you refused to answer his questions. Kudos! I was another dumb ass that paid for their info. Wasted crap files on an unmarked CD-Rom. Nothing on the CD to tell you what it was. It looks like a bad dump of stuff from a hard drive. Nothing of value! Tried to contact them and got no answer. Do not waist your money. I did just to see if it was something I could used to get investors to help me. Nothing on the disk to use to sell idea to anybody. They do nothing that looks like a real business. STAY AWAY.
14. Hookah For Your Car

QUOTE (btuner @ Nov 26 2007, 04:44 PM) QUOTE (mdl @ Nov 26 2007, 12:41 AM) Smoking hookah in the car just doesn't seem like a bright idea to me. Maybe I give too much of an ish about my interior. I have a hard enough time keeping coals off my carpet at home let alone the carpet, dash, and center console in my car. It also seems like a huge distraction to me. Different strokes. how the hell do you guys manage to drop coals? seriously. I haven't even remotely come close to dropping a coal on anything My biggest problem would be what to tell the officer when you are pulled over. First off, it it is going good, you will look like something out of Cheech and Chong. Then try to explain that it is just tobacco and fruit. I think this would make a very long night. Not to mention, ashing the coals while driving would be a bit of a bitch.
15. Hookah + Beer = ?

Bit off topic, but really good. Around here there is a little winery called Brotherhood. They make a spiced holiday wine that is already for mulling, ahh heating. It already has the spices in it, and is relatively sweet. I have put about a 50/50 mix in my hookah and smoked Romman Fruit Punch threw it. It was amazing. The spices really added to the flavor. You could taste the wine. Really enjoyable. The other thing is it is about $12 USD per 1.5 liters. Good stuff. So if you are from New York, or what to order some. It is worth the try.
