  1. Dear Hookah Forum Members, We have been given an ultimatum by the site administrators to either become more active or have our account suspended. Though we greatly value the Hookah Forum community, its owners, participants, and fellow vendors, we feel that this new "clean house" attitude of the administration is not only unjust, but unwarranted. This is not to suggest that we, in any way, feel that participation in the hookah community is of little importance on the part of us vendors, rather unless we are blatantly using the forum as strictly an advertising and spamming network, we deserve the same liberties as any non-vendor member; to participate as we deem necessary. Although we will no longer be members of the forum, we will still continue to extend a 15% discount to the Hookah Forum members. The coupon code: hookahfrm1 will be indefinitely active. If any of you should have any questions or comments regarding any of our products, promotions, discounts, newsletters, or our group community sponsorship program, or anything else regarding Hookah Life, please contact us at anytime. We had a great time while it lasted! Best Regards, Eugene and Mike Hookah Life

    Strong Flavor Ghosting

Hey Shifty, Preferably, you'd want to get a separate hose/bowl for each flavor you smoke. Realistically, however, the costs associated with doing so, would pile up quickly. What I usually do, especially if I'm smoking mint, is rinse the stem/bowl, and lightly and shortly rinse the hose with warm water and lemon juice. If you do it right after your session, than you should be in the clear; if you wait....you'll still taste the ghost flavor next time you smoke. Hope this helps! -Eugene Hookah Life
  3. Erica, Congratulations on the newborn!!! When my sister gave birth she didn't smoke for another 3 months, I guess she just didn't have the desire . Personally I'm a big fan of Starbuzz Pumpkin Pie, Layalina Watermelon or Passion fruit, and Tangiers Lemon-Lime; something a little different from each brand. Me, Mike, and the rest of the Hookah Life team wish you and your newborn lots of health and happiness!! Enjoy your smoke session!!! -Eugene Hookah Life
  4. Hey Tecnorobo, Beautiful looking piece you got there. I've seen/smoked similar models, and I tend to agree with Nidal on this one. Because of its (the models I've smoked) unproportional diameters with regard to the water base and height, it doesn't seem to pull, smoke, or generate a buzz, as well as "normal" sized hookahs. If you experience a different result, let me know, and I'll go pick one up!! -Eugene Hookah Life

    Shisha Shop Belgium (mass Order?)

QUOTE (Johnny_D @ Dec 9 2007, 03:00 AM) QUOTE (hookahlife @ Dec 9 2007, 12:03 AM) Hey Boersnoes, The reason online hookah retailers (including ourselves) don't accept paypal, is because paypal does not allow its services for transactions involving tobacco and tobacco related products. As for purchasing through the states, I agree with you on the expensive part, but since the price of shisha in the states is cheaper than what you get in Europe (at least for U.K. and France), If you buy bulk, than your cost is lower per gram of shisha. I thought you claimed 'exactly what is in the package' on customs declerations forms Hookahlife? It's just not worth ordering from a vendor who won't help play the game with customs. Once customs get hold of it, any savings made get sucked into Tobacco tax. I would suggest that if you do a 'bulk buy' to ensure that the vendor is prepared to ship without claiming tobacco. Otherwise it's just a worthless exercise. JD Hey Johnny, We don't label our orders as "gifts", your right, however we do label them as flavored Molasses. We've had a lot of success shipping overseas, to places as far away as Australia with no customs issues. Obviously these matters are out of the hands of the retailers, but particularly during this time of year when customs are receiving a lot of activity, it's a little easier to get packages through...In fact we shipped almost 10 kg a few weeks back to Canada....got there with no problems. Hope this helps clarify some questions! -Eugene

    Shisha Shop Belgium (mass Order?)

Hey Boersnoes, The reason online hookah retailers (including ourselves) don't accept paypal, is because paypal does not allow its services for transactions involving tobacco and tobacco related products. As for purchasing through the states, I agree with you on the expensive part, but since the price of shisha in the states is cheaper than what you get in Europe (at least for U.K. and France), If you buy bulk, than your cost is lower per gram of shisha. If you are interested in doing a bulk order or a group order for a particular product (i.e. Tangiers tobacco), we can offer special pricing. Hope this helps! Send me a PM if your interested in the group buy. Best Regards, Eugene Slobodetsky Hookah Life support@hookah-life.com www.hookah-life.com 847-403-1213 QUOTE (Boersnoes @ Dec 5 2007, 05:20 PM) So here I am. Belgium, Antwerp. I've searched all over the city and only found one crappy shop selling hookah related material. They sell crappy shisha (90% stems) in very limited flavours (guess which), all dried out and horrible on a whole. Furthermore they force you to buy crappy chinese coals with every tobacco purchase (high heat, short time). I can rant on and on.. but that leads me nowhere. So: are there any Belgian ppl here who can point me to a decent shop? Preferably in Antwerp. Would really like to get my hands on some Tangiers everybody's raving about. I checked the online shops, but shipping costs are higher then the shisha's purchase cost. Furthermore, I would like to order with paypall, something is not really seeped in to the hookah online world it seems. But if my idea is correct, I'm not gonna end up with this wanted Belgium dream shop. So, I was wondering if there were maybe some people who were located in the viscinity and wanted to share the shiping costs. Just leave a message here, or give me a PM. .. And now we play the waiting game.
  7. QUOTE (SmokingDjinn @ Nov 22 2007, 09:05 PM) How often should one clean a hookah and how should one go about doing this? Also, does anyone use a diffuser and what do you think of it? Djinn Hey Smoking Djinn, The diffuser is a nice accessory to have. It helps break up the larger bubbles from the down stem providing a silent smoke. To be honest with you, I personally don't like it; I enjoy the calming bubbling sound of the hookah, and I can't say that the diffuser creates more smoke as it claims. Regarding your cleaning question: visit our HKH-101 section, we have some great maintenance tips, along with much more! I hope this helps! -Eugene Hookah Life support@hookah-life.com www.hookah-life.com 847-403-1213

Just something about it gets me excited everytime I smoke. -Eugene 100% agree with this. It's a great flavour and kicks my ass. Reminds of my days smoking in the desert. Nahkla Double Apple and Cherry are the only two, constant, flavours that have stayed with me over the years. Good call Eugene. JD Right on JD! Right on!

    Hoses

Hey Guys, I've never seemed to have a problem running some gentle water through any hose I've had (minus cobra hoses, which have cardboard material at the ends that don't usually mix too well with water). My technique is pretty simple... 1. Run some water through the hose for a few seconds 2. Blow out through one end to get the majority of the water out 3. Twirl the hose to force the remaining droplets out, and finally 4. Hang the hose This technique has worked with almost all the hoses I have ever tried. Hope this helps clarify some potential questions. -Eugene Hookah Life eslobode@hookah-life.com www.hookah-life.com 847-403-1213

    Hmm

QUOTE (Ooph @ Nov 6 2007, 12:36 PM) I guess, big three kings coal is not recommended for Al Fakher in a Mini Mya acrylic. Loaded a plum bowl and it ran out in less then 15 mins Hey Ooph, If you're using a large coal on small bowls (like the Mya bowls), try breaking up the coal into halves or even fourths. This will allow for better heat distribution throughout the bowl, and will allow more air to go through; just spread the coals evenly around the edges of the bowl. Hope this Helps. -Eugene Hookah Life

    Your First Smoke

Hey Everyone, My first smoke session was on my 18th birthday. First time I tried smoking anything. Anyway I remember it like it was yesterday (yes very cliché but true ). We just finished dinner at a restaurant, and headed back to Mike's house, who got his first hookah 2 weeks earlier on his 18th. There we were, a group of 15 people, sitting in the garage on a warm May night around this beautiful 32" Egyptian rotator with a green glass vase and a flower like design on it (the manly type of flower ). Anyway, I remember setting it up with Nakhla Mixed Fruit (smelled delicious), and after a few of my buddies milked the hookah, I got my turn on it. Two seconds into the puff, and I was buzzing and coughing like I’ve never coughed before, lol. That night I thought to myself, why the hell does anybody enjoy hookah. Well needless to say, I tried it again the next morning, and have been enjoying it every since!!! -Eugene
