1. Has anyone had any experience with these? I saw a pretty nice stem/tray from HJ that I'm interested in. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them as there doesn't seem to be much information out there.

    5Star 7Ico

by the way i ran water in mine and once it got to the spire it flows into that, keeping it from filling any further. it was about the right distance from the rim that the tobacco would need to be, but this is just how i tested mine. the water was about a quarter's thickness, maybe a little tiny more from the top of the rim

    Anyone Carry A Pistol?

I have a Glock 36 (.45 ACP (single stack, slim version of the 30)) for concealed carry, a Ruger LCP (.380 Auto) for pocket/deep concealment carry, and a Springfield Armory XD-45 ACP 5" Compact Tactical in OD Green with a Streamlight TLR-1 on the rail as a fun gun/home defense weapon/hunting sidearm

I mean that has to be the most overly discussed topic on this forum.
To be more precise I started a thread with specific questions about a phunnel bowl, and later found (after I searched first) Chreees' thread on Tangiers Success, which I stated in my thread. So, not really the same thing. Reference the boldfaced text as well.
  8.
I don't think they necessarily know what pesticides might be in their tobacco. They buy it as a raw material for manufacturing into cigarettes, etc. Just as Eric does. The only people who grow their own for their product (and can absolutely track what was used while it was being grown) are usually the imported cigar manufacturers, and probably only the smaller scale "boutique" brands at this point in time. The bigger brands like Cohiba probably buy loose leaf so they have to take the growers word for it. 'Rani
Actually a lot of the bigger names are big enough to have their own tobacco farms, like Cohiba for instance. Cohiba is one of the biggest players in the cigar world, so why would they buy trash tobacco where they can't have a hand in quality control? That makes no sense. Cohiba actually has it's own subsidiary called Culbro Tobacco which grows and processes tobacco for the Cohiba label. Smaller microbrands can probably grow their own tobacco and control what goes in it, hence the price due to cost of production. But to think the major cigar companies buy loose leaf is like saying Dole doesn't have it's own produce farms. Or Kendall Jackson buys grapes from other vineyards. It's the smaller brand names that no one really buys who can't afford to grow and control their own crop. Those are the ones with lesser quality who probably buy bulk from processing plants. Top quality is top quality for a reason, which is why I buy the best, i.e. Cohiba, Montecristo, Hoyo de Montgomery, and Partagas

    Hookah Gagging Problem

Well you can't taste in your nose, so I assume it happens when you exhale out of your mouth as well? It's your body's way of telling you to stop. My body does the same thing with cigarettes. So, either your body is telling you to take a break or to stop altogether. If you are gagging from the taste AND smell, you're probably done with hookah unless you like feeling sick.

and give you a reach around!
Well, yeah, things are a little more expensive here in Brazil than in the US
Yes be proud. And for God's sake DO NOT FUCKING TIP IT OVER!!! lol.......but a thought comes to mind....."Will It Blend?" But seriously though that's a sky high price even for the US market. That's why you don't see many of them...no one is uhh..brave? enough to pay that much for a hookah.
  20.
I agree with 3rooker 100%. I smoke hookah because for the past 4 years of smoking, I don't cough up phlegm every morning and my lungs don't feel like shriveled prunes. I can wake up the next morning after a session and run 4 miles at an 8mph pace without any problems. I am one who believes the glycerin vapors are not nearly as harmful as cigarette smoke. I don't smoke cigars very often but as I've learned you don't inhale so I don't know the effects of cigars. However I don't get offended when I hear these estimated comparisons. If someone approaches me with these "studies"(and they have) I present my facts and the obvious differences of what is actually produced during a session of hookah and a lit cigarette.
First off, right, you don't inhale a cigar, so you see a lot of long-term cigar smokers with throat cancer rather than lung cancer. I'm not a "cigar smoker" but I will enjoy a nice dark Cohiba or Partagas on the golf course or a fishing boat, with lots of beer. Man, sports are so unhealthy bahaha Secondly, I bet your facts and their facts are like opposing magnets, trying to get as far away from each other as possible. Anyone with an open mind will take science to mind and evaluate something, while [most] others will blow off what you say as justification for your "habit." They see a white puff come out of your mouth and call it smoke. If it is truly smoke, why doesn't it smell? Why doesn't it cling to fabric? Why doesn't it linger like actual smoke does? More points for your arguments next time lol. The fact is people are going to think and believe what they want to and that's okay. The only thing we can do is to try and educate them. If they want to be stubborn and ignorant, let them, but we are the more educated persons. I doubt we would knowingly continue to do what we do if it was super harmful for us, like letting tar flow into our bodies and stain our teeth! haha Now reference the quote in my sig
  21. I would have bought an Elmas, couple of KMs, a brass Syrians, a Farida, a Lebanese pipe etc. Lots of shisha....or a down payment on a Daytona 675R..yeah..probably the Daytona
  22.
hmm why do hookah smokers care so much? I never see cig. smokers get pissed of by the facts and rumors that come along with it. They kinda just shrug it of and lit up a new one.
Does seem to be quite on the defensive on our part, but at the same time it's the connotation that is applied to the hookah itself. And as users, that passes onto us, which is why we care. Because those who have no idea criticize us for doing something they think is dangerous when it really isn't. If people would research things for themselves rather than relying on biased views of the media then they would be smarter, more educated, and not look like dumbasses when they spew ignorance from their mouths. Sure, inhaling things is bad, no one can argue that, and the long term effects are unknown. I'm willing to bet the long term effects are nearly null. My favorite is when they try to relate the amount of smoke to 100 cigarettes, (lol) it is all about the quality of what is going down and coming up rather than quantity. Cigarettes no doubt pour all kinds of chemicals in your body, while a hookah, is all organic (water, tobacco, flavoring, molasses, glycerine). Anyways, that's my 2 cents.
  23. I'll be so haMFy when Wednesday comes.

  24. That first video was awesome...i'll occasionally smoke a cigarette at a bar, but never again after seeing 1 cigarette on that napkin...that's fuckin disgusting!
