1. A few years back when I was in college I gave making an electric coal a whirl when I ran out of coals and was waiting on an order to come in. It worked for about about 5-10 minutes before the coil I used overheated, melted and the connection was broken. I didn't use an air flow sensor to regulate temps, just the control from an old crock pot I may need to try it again using one of my old variable temp soldering iron and a tip with the footprint of a coal or two. Either that or I'll forget... I don't really think anything will ever replace good old fashioned coals for me. But it would be cool.
 2. Congrats! online seems to be the best bet for getting shisha, at least for southern Indiana. stores that sell it around me are few and far between.
 3. My First Hookah
I have a very similar base on my KM! It's black instead of white though. and instead of blue, its clear. I dig it man! very cool
I have the same base on my pipe! that stem in the pic almost looks like a small version of the trimetal I currently use. congrats for the hose maybe consider going to a hardware store and buying some o-rings to put around the hose. its what i did when i misplaced my last hose grommet.

 12. i saw i video a long time ago where a guy used a vacuum to suck air through a hookah and a cigarette through coffee filters. he timed how long it took the cigarette to burn down and then did the hookah for the same length of time. i didnt have any luck pulling it up again, but i remember the hookahs coffee filter showed almost no discoloration and the cigarettes was badly stained. heres another video i managed to find again. this guys uses a vacuum to burn through 100 cigarettes through a hookah and then show the base water. its pretty gnarly looking. theres no hookah in the video but, i think we all know what our base water looks like when we finish a bowl.
