  1. So, after I smoke, some crystals keep forming in my stem. Is this a product of smoke that's condensing or maybe just a cheap hookah? A smile wire brush takes care of it, but I'm still concerned. This is my third hookah, and it hasn't happened on the other two.
  2. QUOTE (judgeposer @ Mar 24 2009, 10:10 AM) If ALL ELSE FAILS, take the LSATs and get into law school...but only if ALL ELSE FAILS...lol. Being a lawyer isn't so bad. You dont have to do court room style law. You could go into corporate or patent law and make tons of money for a pretty chill job. If I can bring my GPA up to 3.8 and my LSAT up to 165 I'm going to UNC Law.
  3. So, lets share links to badass hookahs for sale. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Iraq-Hand-Painted-...:0|293:2|294:50 http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-ANTIQUE-SOLID-...6|39:1|240:1318
  4. Orbit's Air Tight Hookahs

QUOTE (Boricua @ Feb 25 2009, 03:39 PM) A link could help Don't most hookahs use a female head anyway? Apparently the admin has disabled links to this site. I seem to be stuck with a hookah with all the wrong parts now (male head, mya hose, leaky stem).
  5. Orbit's Air Tight Hookahs

QUOTE (joytron @ Feb 25 2009, 03:19 PM) im not really sure what you mean but a 26" acrylic hookah for $85 seems really expensive. I want a hookah that accepts a female head (so I can get a phunnel), is as tall or taller than my current 26", has 1 non-myan hose, a large vase, and hits hard. I'm trying to find out if anyone has used an orbit hookah before and if there is a noticeable difference. As for the price, for that model of hookah, it's pretty low. It also seems that the stem screws into the vase, providing further seal.
  6. How Bad Is Hookah For You

Here's a little food for thought: When Camel Crushes came out, I had the idea to break off the filter and stuff it in the stem where the hose met. I smoked an entire bowl, then removed the filter. It was still pure white. Even after one cigarette, those filters are vomit colored.
  7. I'm looking at buying an acrylic airtight hookah made by a company called Orbit. It looks to be Egyptian, and is 26" tall. All a pretty good deal for $85. My real question being does the air tight system work effectively? I understand the basic idea; a valve seals the stem from flow. Wouldn't the water seal the stem from ambient pressure as long as I'm not applying negative pressure on the water? It seems a little useless to me. Regardless of the airtight system, this seems to be a pretty good deal. Given my objectives for buying a new hookah, this seems like a solid choice.
  8. North Carolina Smokers Nc

    Greenville, NC ECU, too.
  9. Hookah Haze

I believe this place stays in business because of it's proximity to downtown Greenville and the nightlife there. Hookah Haze closes at 3am, making the "perfect" after party after the clubs shut down at 2. The place is rather small and crowded, and overcharges (ranging from $10-$20 per bowl). The quality is hit and miss; half the time the smoke is harsh and too many coals have been added by an attendant who has no idea what she's doing. There is a good shisha variety, the favorite seems to be AF. I'll stay at home and smoke my own. 3/10
  10. Another College Kid.

Hey, I'm from Greenville, NC. I have a little 26" mya hookah, and plan on ditching it for something a little bigger. I joined to get a little bit of knowledge before I throw my money around. I'm a college student and don't have much to spend, so I figure why not get the best bang for the buck? I'm pretty big into cars and fabrication, so I might try playing around with my old hookah to see what works before modifying my soon-to-be-bought hookah. I had a 95 Eagle Talon TSi before I got my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and love both. I'm also active in politics, so chalk up another political thread whore. You'll be happy to know that this isn't my first forum, so I know the in's and out's. So, I'm probably going to hang out for a little bit, do some searching, and start posting when I have good, valid questions.
