Ok, there has long been the question of what's in soex if not tobacco.

So I got a pack at my local head shop and a sample from the forum wide offer. Looked at the ingredients...

Ugarsay anecay agassebay + Molases + preservatives + flavour.

Anyone speak pig latin???? rolleyes.gif
Glottis
Holy shit, I was JUST about to post this. I've had the package for a while, first smoked it last week, noticed the ingredients yesterday. What a crock, tasted like wood chips too.

Ugarsay anecay agassebay=a really wierd substance! Sugar cane splinters. ouch!

hahaha i think it is pretty clever that they would use pig latin.

would this make soex even worse for you since you are basically smoking pure sugar?

As I understand it the sugar is already removed and you are basically smoking pure cellulose. Who knows what the long term effects of that are! At least we know what tobacco causes...
Glottis
I like smoking my sugar cane bagasse because it keeps me regular.

Mmmm, that sounds sooo good! Makes me wanna go out and smoke some shoelaces!

The orange flavor was actually pretty good! It tasted like oranges. Didn't like the fact that it had no nicotine though...Or that you need to wear work gloves to load a bowl.
DizzyGuy
Lol, we've had this discussion awhile ago... ALTHOUGH, I think it was directed at the Black Label

Oh god...I take back everything I said...it's crap. dry.gif I smoked some tangiers peach directly after dinner tonight, and about then about a half hour ago decided to I needed to smoke again...So I loaded up another bowl of Soex (this time getting all the juices in the bag) to get rid of the stuff. It had a horrid chemical taste and gave me a hell of a headache. I would never willfully smoke this crap again. huh.gif

"Medical problems
Workplace exposure to dusts from the processing of Bagasse can cause the chronic lung condition pulmonary fibrosis.

The Chest Journal, an official publication of the American College of Chest Physicians published the below artcile on bagasse and its effects on the lung.

http://www.chestjournal.org/content/52/4/505.full.pdf

Factory Conditions
Historically bagasse factories have had harsh working environments due to the process of milling the pulp. Factory workers have reported bleeding hands and arms. Workers are also required to wear masks to prevent breathing in pulp fibers.

It is typically suggested to visit the actual factory to personally see working conditions before purchasing any bagasse based products."

i know it said the 'dust' but that's just the raw dust; i'm no respitory specialist, but the air isn't right here...pun intended

COOL.
Sonthert
Yeah, tobacco's not like that at all. laugh.gif
alim
I've tried the mint and rose Soex, it's fresher compare to other brand. Never got headache, and quite different from the tobacco type i used to.

Beat me to it.

Thus debunking the myth that tobacco free molasses is better for you...gimme my damn nicotine buzz thank you, and no goddam pulmonary fibrosis for me.

SO we can EX this off our list of healthy alternatives smile.gif

AFTER ZALL at least we know the risks of tobacco smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

The company Soex India Pvt Ltd lists Ugarsay anecay agassebay (which is Pig Latin for sugar cane bagasse) as one of the components on packages from their Herbal Hookah Molasses product range.

it's even on the wiki page.
erufiku
OK for everyone quoting the article, it was already mentioned that they researched the effects of breathing in small particles of airborne bagasse dust, not the effects of smoking it.
giant ninja robot
and smoking it IS BETTER? I would think smoking the substance is just as bad if not worse as either way you're inhaling it into your lungs.

I dont understand your post dude.
