Hi @Skoozle thanks for taking out your time. The downstem is stuck inside the Hookah base. Have a look!

That's great that you found what you were looking for. Pure raw tobacco leaves as in just loose leaf tobacco? Or is that a specific brand? If you want to experiment, you could try adding some glycerin to the tobacco leaves to get a better burn or smoke. There seems to be some good information in the How-To Workshop section for DIY hookah tobacco. If you try anything else, let us know how it goes.

I'm not 100% sure what the problem is. Is only the lower part of the stem (the screw off down stem) completely inside the vase? If that's the case, I would try to bend a sturdy wire into a hook to try to pull it loose. If the hub is in the opening of the base as it should be, I would try gentle persuasion trying to twist and pull it out. Make sure it's not threaded in. Alternating cold and hot water could give you the thermal expansion you need to loosen the stuck threads but it can also give you the thermal expansion you need to break your glass base. Use that trick at your own risk after everything else has failed and don't go too extreme until you are ready to break the base anyway. If I have misunderstood your issue, please explain more or post a picture or link to a picture. (I'm not sure if those are currently allowed on the forum) Good luck!

I saw your other post about traditional tobacco, so I'll kind of respond to both posts here. Nakhla Zaghloul is going to be an unflavored traditional hookah tobacco. there is also zaghloul lite which will have less nicotine. Nakhla Double Apple is oddly enough not apple flavored. It taste like anise or black licorice. This will also be a very traditional flavor as I believe this was the first flavored hookah tobacco introduced. If you want to avoid all fruit flavors, you could consider mint, cinnamon, coffee or chocolate flavors. Afzal has several Paan flavors as well. There are so many flavors for hookah it's impossible to try them all and everyone has different tastes which makes recommendations difficult. What would be your ideal flavor if you had a magic wand?

Hey there! Just adding anything but glycerin wouldn't make it cloudy. The glycerin does. Of course nowerdays there is an option for pg too but what seems more intersting right now; glycerin is actually some kind of alcohol not active for a human being but it is a kind of alcohol. And this alcohol is like I just read a product which comes after adding sulfites to the alcohol generation. So if there was honey and a realy bit of water mixed to the tobacco and sulfites in which might have come out of a sugarcane melasses which we know now as blackstrap they might have just had glycerin by natural in. Maybe just ad glycerin to your leaf by a 1:2 ratio (tobacco:glycerin). By myself I use a 1:2.25 ratio and glycerin was mixed with honey with a 1(honey) to 2(glycerin) ratio and a few drops of water which i just drip in from my hand. Don't let confuse yourself from the strange ratios that's just the results of the tests I made by myself. If you would like to get it to glycerin by nature I think you need to store it quiete warm but I never tried . If you would like to test this glycerin honey thing - give it a month because glycerin needs time to eat the honey but it does.. somehow xD really sweet after a month. And... you know tobacco raw leaf is a very quality product with many good resin and if you wash it you make a quality product quiete worth- and tasteless just let it be the pure power of tobacco and get yourself a leaf in that strength you like. No wash. ;D Greetings from germany man dominik

No experience with dobacco. Orange and Kiwi is always a nice mix if the kiwi has a twist of mint in it like I guess... it will be a really nice mix. Baileys and Strawberry should do well also!

Let's stay and talk about things - it is active than. Just to inform you, in germany there is also not one active board. It may seems a bit like there are active but it's an up and down of three or four offending idiots. So if we stay and show that we're on in times we might get an community back. World wide hookah smokers will see this THIS THIS is the only board with members. I will stay and talk about this and that because I want an community. Maybe you too? And if it's not the normal things to offend members I realy like to stay as an active member. Maybe you too? Greetings

I honestly laughed out loud at the bag of roe.  I'm glad my office mate hasen't made it in yet or I would have had to explain the whole thing to him.   I'm happy to hear that it worked out for you.  Was it the thick black gasket that made it fit?  That's what I use for my Fancy Hoses with the Mya.   It was really no big deal.  The hose was packed away in a box not being used so I'm not going to miss it at all.   Thank you for the kind words, Everyone.

Anatomy of the Hookah: How to setup your hookah: 1. Fill the vase with water so that the downstem is submerged around an inch or so. 2. Stir the tobacco to evenly distribute all the juices. Place it in the bowl lightly, so that air can pass through it. Fill it to the rim of the bowl. Don't worry about the tobacco touching the foil – this is perfectly normal. Place a small cut out sheet of aluminum foil (or use precut squares if you have them) on the bowl, and wrap it tightly, so that it's like a drum. Now take a poking instrument (toothpicks work great) and poke holes like this, making sure to poke all the way to the bottom of the bowl: After you poke your holes, blow through the bottom of the bowl. This ensures that the holes are not clogged. 3. Now for the coal. If using quicklights, split the disc coal into two halves using a knife, striking it with a hammer. This should result in a clean cut, making two halves. If using naturals, you'll need to use two coals. For lighting quicklights, use a standard lighter and wait until the coal is fully lit (you know it is fully lit when you can no longer see any black on the coal). For lighting naturals, use a coil burner stove or purchase a small electric coil burner for $10-20 from Walgreens or Wal-Mart. Make sure the coals are fully lit (they will be glowing red throughout). 4. Coal placement. Once coals are fully lit, this is how you will want to place them on your bowl. Quicklights: Naturals: Make sure to avoid placing coals in the middle of your bowl. Keeping them on the sides will make sure you get a better smoke. Using grommets, attach the bowl to the top of the hookah, and attach the hose to the hose port. Move the hookah to where you want to smoke. Apply the coals.

Your thinking of the quadrant label. The full MSDS lists the compounds in use, how much of it is present, and other relevant info. The quadrant label is just part of the info.

OK, as I have dealt with a large number of members on this board involving trades, as well as other forums I would like to share a little bit of advice for trading and shipping. some of this is just a simple 'I would suggest it' to a 'you can get in actual trouble for this'. Take as you see it, hope if helps. A think a thread like this (even if it is not this one specifically) should happen. WHEN LISTING WTS/WTT: 1. When listing anything for sale an asking price is all but a must. If you dont want people breathing down your neck or giving you crap then I suggest you at least state 'X amount OBO'. Nobody wants to see 'KM Hookah for sale, best offer gets it'. If thats the case i'm going to offer you $10 and post telling everybody else to not offer you anything so I get it cheap. 2. Before trading with anybody I would do a search in the trade reviews section and see if they have any feedback at all. If they have some good feedback then you should be good to make that trade. If they have none (and you have some) I would politely ask them to ship first. I have asked several people who have had no feedback to ship their end first and none have had a problem with it. Oddly enough the people with no feedback that wanted to 'hurry up and get it because of blah blah blah' reason are the ones who stiffed me. In short, anybody that is honest and has no intentions of ripping you off will always agree to ship first. 3. If your selling hookah related items and you accept paypal then you need to note VERY CLEARLY that words like 'hookah' 'shisha' 'tobacco' etc should not be written in the 'notes' field on paypal. Paypal does not allow online vendors to accept paypal and it is equally illegal for us to use it. If paypal notices (and they do check from time to time) tobacco related words or phrases ('this is for the shisha' 'heres for the hookah pipe') the least that will be done is having your paypal account suspended, along with whatever money is in it. Seriously, I have refunded peoples money on paypal and made them resend it a day or so later without words in the notes field to make sure that my ass is covered. 4. Always list EVERYTHING your hookah is going to come with. wether that be bowl (if so what kind), hose, grommets, extra shisha, etc. Nobody wants to buy a hookah from you only to receive it a week later and find that it has no hose, bowl, or grommets to go with it. 5. ALWAYS LEAVE FEEDBACK!!! If your happy with the trade, post it up so others know who is an OK guy to deal with. Even more important if your trade went sour leave feedback with a detailed explenation of what happened. If I trade with somebody and get scammed/burnt, only to find out that you had the same experience with them prior and failed to post it you can believe I will be a little upset with you for not warning the rest of us. 6. communicaton. if you dont get the money/package/whatever out on time, shoot a pm to the person and let them know. Life happens, things come up. people understand that. What people dont understand is not hearing from somebody for a week or more with no explenation. WHEN PACKAGING/SHIPPING: 1. It is illegal to actually ship any form of tobacco via usps/fedex/ups at any time without a tobacco liscense like retailers have. NEVER mention to the post office what you are shipping. Shipping pipes/hoses and items like that is perfectly OK, but not the shisha itself. 2. When shipping shisha is it always a good idea to place the shisha inside of a baggy, regardless of what kind of container it comes in. This will insure two things. First that your shisha wont leak all over everything else in the box and second, that it would leak outside of the box, thus pulling the attention of the usps/fedex/etc who does not allow the shipping of tobacco. 3. If your shipping a pipe or a hose I would always suggest insuring it for the MSRP of the product. Note that I did not say insure it for what your selling it for, or what you paid for it from somebody else, but the MSRP as thats what you would likely have to pay to replace it. Also keep in mind if you ship somebody a glass vase and upon arrival its shattered in to 5000 pieces then the responsibility for that vase is soley on YOU for not packaging it well enough. If you didnt insure it, your out the money for that trade. 4. ALWAYS ship with a Delivery Confirmation #. Its only sixty five cents, nothing thats going to break you. It's also a small price to pay for piece of mind for both you and the person your shipping two. It gives them proof that you have at least mailed something to them, and from personal experiece, I also find it keeps the employees of the post office a little more honest about your package if they know somebody is tracking it.
