My baby girl! XD
'68 Toronado with a '78 408 Toronado engine, up to 350 hp, but probably a lot less since I don't have the scratch to get her to peak performance. 100k miles on the car, 40k on the engine. She's what got me into auto body!
Needs new:
carburetor
master cylinder
transmission pan (at least repaired)
paint - what's on it is a craMFy Maaco job of the original color (YES! it was originally metallic blue! Quite rare for cars back then, they only had one size metal flake ) that I'd saturated with wax when I got it at 16 to get some sort of shine. Well, the horribly oxidized paint ABSORBED the wax, not even kidding, and there's no way I can repaint it with any trace of wax or else I'll get fish-eyes like crazy from silicone contamination. Brutal So I have to strip my baby girl down to the bare metal and start from scratch. Labor of love, my friends. Already did the hood, I can't even start on how much work it was, and how many chemical burns I got on my hands... but I've got a black hood, even if it is only epoxy primer
